This gorgeous pendant is made from crystal cave quartz that grows on only one cave wall. That cave is in Siberia!
You can see the actual tiny crystals on this piece, it’s amazing.
The orchid is a silver casting of a dendrobium kingianum orchid that mainly grows in Australia but has been successfully grown in California for these castings.
The chain is a satellite chain that I added patina to and then hand polished each bead to give some added interest. The chain measures 17 inches.
The lobster clasp is attached with gorgeous rainbow moonstone beads.
The proceeds from this necklace will go to help a little boy, Truman, battling leukemia. The person I buy most my rare stones from sold trays of these stones, because these are Truman’s favorite stones, and donated the proceeds to his care. I am continuing the fundraiser by making necklaces out of a few stones I purchased and donating the proceeds. Truman’s treatment will take 3 years, best case, so this is an ongoing fundraiser.
I take great pride in my curated stone collection. The gems I use in my jewelry are ethically sourced. No two are exactly alike! In addition to these variations, inclusions and irregularities are not flaws but rather a reflection of nature’s beauty.
This piece has been hand forged by me in my little studio using methods that have been around for hundreds of years. All metal used on this piece is solid 999 fine silver and solid 925 sterling silver. I use recycled fine silver and recycled sterling silver whenever possible.
